Or pay it forward. However you want to categorize it, I’m deeply grateful to Amy and Jessica for nominating me for the WordPress Family Award and the Versatile Blogger Award, respectively.
Go check out their blogs right now, because there’s nobody that can motivate you to get your lazy derrière off the couch the way Amy can. She is always on the go. And then, there’s Jessica. What else is there to say about her? She cooks dishes like Spanish Paella and Chinese Char Siu Pork. And you really need to check out her Malteser Cake!
Thank you girls, for the recognition and acknowledgement. Don’t we secretly want these awards? I did. Who doesn’t want free publicity?
And now, I’m spreading my WordPress Family love to the following blogger friends, people I follow and read regularly because they inform and inspire me. Please check them out. The list is in alphabetical order.
1. Anna’s Cuisine
2. Bentodays
3. Bread and Tortillas
4. Garden to Wok
5. In the Stewingpot
6. Jay Bee’s World
7. Love & Magnolia Gardens
8. Polianthus
9. Talking Experience
10. Wildness
The rules for accepting the WordPress Family Award can be found here.
And for the Versatile Blogger Award, I nominate the following bloggers, also a group of people whose work I find inspiring. Do visit their sites. You might find something to like there. Again, in alphabetical order.
1. Anna Shortcakes
2. Annie’s Kitchen Garden
3. A Taste of Morning
4. Busy Day
5. Farm Fresh Feast
6. Gardeninacity
7. High Desert Garden
8. Ice Cream Magazine

10. Ladybluerose
11. Mitts and Measures
12. Superduque
13. The Chicken Chick
14. The Local Kitchener
15. The Saffron Chronicles
The rules for this award are:
1. Visit and thank the blogger who nominated you.
2. Acknowledge that blogger on your blog and a link back.
3. Share 7 random interesting things about yourself.
4. Nominate up to 15 bloggers for The Versatile Blogger Award
5. Provide a link to their blogs in your post, and notify them on their blogs.
6. Copy and paste the award somewhere on your blog.
I guess now I have to share 7 random facts about myself:
1. I once had a pet rooster.
2. When I was a baby, my aunt (who didn’t have any daughter) kept asking my mom (who had 2 daughters by then) to let her adopt me.
3. Consequently I was very confused who my real mother was, since my aunt kept stealing me and insisting I called her mom.
4. Speaking of being a baby, I must have been a pretty greedy one. In most of the photos taken of me and my older sister, I always held two things (toys, candies, drinks, etc.) while my sister had none. I must have grabbed hers. Was it even a wonder? I didn’t think she was my sister.
5. I’ve lived in 3 different countries and 8 different cities.
6. I used to be obsessed with anything Jane Austen. At times still am, but now I’m able to control myself.
7. My husband snores. Does that qualify as a random fact about myself?
Now, some of you may very well have received these awards before. I don’t know what the rules are in that case. Accept all over again? I would. Hey, if actors can win the same awards multiple times, why can’t bloggers? I’d say it’s more opportunity to spread more love around. Is this my way of trying to get more awards in the future? Of course not! 😉
But, if you think copying and pasting is too much for you, you don’t have to do anything. Just know that I’m thinking of you and that I appreciate your work.
Well done…I am the person who made this, I think it’s been passed around over 1,000 times now. I created it for these reasons:
This is an award for everyone who is part of the “Word Press Family” I start this award on the basis that the WordPress family has taken me in, and showed me love and a caring side only WordPress can. The way people take a second to be nice, to answer a question and not make things a competition amazes me here. I know I have been given many awards, but I wanted to leave my own legacy on here by creating my own award, as many have done before. This represents “Family” we never meet, but are there for us as family. It is my honour to start this award
Well done again to all, and I like to poke my nose in and say “Hi” Hope that is ok…
Shaun
Sure, Shaun! Congratulations on the success of the award. Hopefully it’s given you more love in return.
More than I can type in words. The loving caring nature of this place for people like me (Disabled) is just stunning. So it meant a lot to do that Award. I get a few pings a day, sometimes 10 or more…
Thank you..
Wow, thank you so much for the shout out! You couldn’t have chosen a better time or a better award! I was thinking, just before I published my 100th post, how much I love being part of a larger blogging family. Thank you again!
You’re welcome, JB, glad I made your day!
Congratulations to you. It appears well deserved. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much, Jim!
Congratulations! And thanks for the tips on good blogs.
Thanks, Hilda! It was very hard to choose just 10/15. There are so many more I wanted to include, yours is one of them. What you do with edible foraged vegetables, what most consider weeds, is very inspiring. That last pie you made, I’m still thinking of!
This is awesome! Congratulations to you, this is very fitting. You deserve it 🙂
Thanks, mkununu! Very kind of you to say, my dear friend!
Your kindness and generocity of spirit are much appreciated. Particularly as Im such a bright green newbie! (but shhh no one knows that do they?). Happiness Engineers are falling off the chairs laughing at this my dear!
So please find attached (an over the net) hug together with my sincerest thanks for spreading the love in my direction. x
Not a problem, you’re very welcome! I consider myself a newbie too. But have received so much support and encouragement that I find impossible to not spread around. Isn’t blogging more fun when you do it as a community? Informing, inspiring, and exchanging ideas can’t be done alone! 🙂
Thank you, dear one. I may have received others, but this one is extra special, as it came from you. I’m not going to follow the rules, as I’ve done it so many times there’s nothing people don’t know about me now, LOL, but I will graciously accept the award and display it proudly on my sidebar.
Oh, there is one thing others may not know about me. I used to have a pet rooster! His name was Dinner, because my son brought him home from a friend’s house one day and announced “Here’s dinner!” Of course, I couldn’t cook him, so I had to make a pet of him 🙂
LOL! Granny, you can always make me laugh the way nobody can. I think I feel connected to you from the start because I totally get your brand of humor. A bit wicked and mischievous, but all in good fun, and no harm intended. 🙂
I’ve never, ever been nominated for anything, anywhere! Thank you! Oh, this is fun!
Isn’t it? The thing I appreciated the most about the awards was the fact they afforded me the opportunity to recognize others. That was the best part!
Looks like this is going around! I did it too. I think your blog is great so I nominated you for a Liebster Award, which looks pretty similar to this one.

Thanks for sharing your musings with us.
Thank you so much, Lara! So nice of you to think of me!
It was only a matter of time that you were to be recognized for your great work! It’s a delight to see and read such a positive, informative, and entertaining site. I’ve always enjoyed the sense of humor behind it all. Thank you very much for nominating me and having me part of your community!
You’re welcome, Gerard! I feel like we’re old friends already! You’ll always be part of “our” community. Who’s going to leave the best comments, otherwise? 🙂
