Green Eggs and Ham continue to be on my mind, so what’s a girl to do but make them. The green eggs, at least, without the ham. It’s no-meat Friday, no ham for me. It hasn’t been a problem not eating meat on Fridays so far, with so many options available. Besides, we love eggs, my family and I. That’s why I made not only green but red eggs as well, as in Huevos Divorciados aka Divorced Eggs.
Which begs the question as to why they were divorced in the first place. Any of you have an idea? I have my thoughts but at this point they’re all speculations and conjectures. I’d rather not say. Libel is a serious offense. I ought to know. I studied about it in journalism school.
I can, however, definitively say that these divorced eggs play exceptionally nicely on a plate. The sweet red and the sour green sauces complement each other. Maybe we need to tell them that. Maybe if they knew how well they pair up, how extremely attractive they are as a couple, they might reconnect. What do you think? Let me know.
